The warm voice & delicate finger picking of this singer-songwriter is reminiscent of the folk artists of the American sixties. Her childhood was spent jumping back and forward between Scotland, Ireland, and Oregon, and with music always as a constant, this musician has been able to craft songs which reflect all the corners of the globe where she has called home.

After moving with her family to Portland, Oregon in 2006, McDade became an avid participant in the music and theatre spheres of the city. As a teenager, and through to her first years at Oregon State University, she continually participated in choirs, musicals, benefit concerts, and contributed to both studio recordings and musical enrichment programs. She spent her third year of college back in Scotland at The University of Glasgow, where her love for American folk music first began to blossom. After two years of writing and recording a collection of demos both in Scotland and Oregon, her debut album was recorded at The Trench Studios in Portland. To Call Home was released in April 2018.

McDade worked as a music instructor at Salem’s RiverCity Rock Star Academy as well as at Little Friends Montessori School from 2017 to 2019. After moving to Denver, Colorado in 2019 to earn her MA, she is back in Oregon, working as a high school counselor.
